Established in 1996, the MFCDA was designed to assist early-career underrepresented in medicine (UIM) faculty members in supporting their work and career progression at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and at Harvard Medical School.

In previous years, the MFCDA was granted annually to two awardees. We are pleased to announce that, in collaboration with the President’s Office, we will fund an additional three awards, for a total of five awards in 2022. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Bob Higgins for his generous support to further the careers of our UIM faculty.
