On Monday, Nov. 6, Mass General Brigham’s seventh annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Summit will feature engaging speakers, voices from across the organization and top system leaders reflecting on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion issues happening at the local and national level.

Employees can participate in this year’s summit, which will be from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., by reserving a seat in the Markell Conference Center at Assembly Row, watching the livestream online on Nov. 6 or attending a watch party if offered at their local entity. RSVP here

Featured speakers will include Kenji Yoshino, JD, Chief Justice Earl Warren Professor of Constitutional Law at New York University School of Law and director of the Meltzer Center for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging; Ritu Bhasin, LL.B, MBA, author of We’ve Got This: Unlocking the Beauty of Belonging; and Eddie Glaude Jr., PhD, a New York Times bestselling author and chair of Princeton’s Department of African American Studies.

Anne Klibanski, MD, president and CEO of Mass General Brigham, will offer opening remarks for the summit, which has a theme this year of “All Voices, All Stories.”

For the first time in the summit’s history, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit Steering Committee has also organized a Presidents Panel that will feature a dozen presidents from across our system speaking on the topics covered during the day. The panel conversation will be facilitated by Diane Patrick, Esq., senior counsel at Ropes & Gray, co-vice chair of the board of directors for Massachusetts General Hospital, member of the Mass General Brigham board of directors, chair of the Mass General Brigham Committee on Community Health, Patient and Workforce Equity and former first lady of Massachusetts.

“Issues of diversity, equity and inclusion are more important than ever, and our organization’s United Against Racism initiative has been instrumental in moving Mass General Brigham and the communities we serve forward,” said Anna Brown, Esq., senior vice president, chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer. “The DE&I Summit serves an important role in focusing our collective attention on the urgent topics of our times so that we may learn, share and champion change in our industry and beyond.”
