Watch Now: A Collaborative Approach to Attracting Diverse Resident and Physician Talent at Mass General Brigham

On July 1, Mass General Brigham welcomed its most diverse residency class, with more than one third of residents and trainees considered Underrepresented in Medicine (UiM). UiM is designated by the Association of American Medical Colleges as those racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical profession relative to their numbers in the general population. This video, shared at this year’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit, tells the story of how the Offices for Diversity and Inclusion at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital worked closely with program leads on outreach to candidates, resulting in the most diverse residency recruitment in Mass General Brigham’s history.
