About the Lecture:
In this lecture, Professor Rosenbaum will explore how, building on a series of landmark laws including
Medicare and Medicaid, Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and community health centers, the Affordable
Care Act fundamentally advanced the aim of equity in health and health care. These transformations
have produced measurable results, but much work remains to be done if the nation is to realize a goal
that is foundational to any national health system.
